Good Morning.  Today is Favorite Sport's Team Day!  I am sure we will see a variety of college fashion apparel.  Take the opportunity to talk to your students about what college is and what it is like and how important it is to go!  Mrs. Binkley's class has added the words "go to college" in their class pledge. We have to light that spark now while they love learning.  I am at a Joint Principal's Meeting today with Cassandra and then I have a short (I hope) Star 3 meeting.  Don't forget to complete your intent forms and your teacher working conditions survey.  I have extra surveys if you were not at the meeting. They all have confidential logins. Mrs. Binkley and Mrs. Crookshank have information about NCAE dues info. if you need more information. Report Cards are due at the end of the day.  See you soon and thanks for all you do everyday!

IMPORTANT

Teachers-Just a reminder to make sure you send inhalers with the children to their specials, etc..throughout the day.  They should travel with them.  We are in the midst of allergy season and we want to keep everyone safe.  Thank you:)

Good Morning.  Faculty Meeting this afternoon.  Be there at 3:15 sharp.  Refreshments will be provided.  We will be getting a brand new snack machine with new goodies this coming Monday.  We will now turn this over to a vendor.  I should have all Unit Plans in my office this morning. Thank you. They were picked up yesterday by Star 3 representative. Proctor training this morning in Mrs. Pubantz's room.  Have a great day!  Some of you have asked about the pay for the summer school program.  You will need to contact the company directly or Cheryl Wright. Unfortunately, I do not have that information. I did send you a forward from the company yesterday:)  Hope that helps.  Take a deep breath and exhale.  We will get through all of our tasks.

Welcome Back!!!!!!! We are so glad you are here today and ready to get back in the swing of things!  Today is Tacky Day.  Connie from Star 3 will be here first thing this morning to collect Unit Plans.  Please get them in the yellow envelope outside my door, first thing this morning if you have not already done so.  PLEASE read all back posts of the morning memo since last Friday.  There is some really important information there. Reminder, we do have a faculty meeting tomorrow afternoon.  Please remember to complete your Intent Form on-line.  If you have questions, please see me.  Also, make sure you get your honor roll, and all other awards to Judy asap. Don't forget specialists awards.  Jaymie Almaguer hurt her foot over the break and needs a little time to recuperate.  She will be out all week.  We can get a sub after 3 days.  We all wish her a speedy recovery:)  Have a TACKY DAY!!!!!!!

Good Morning!  Today will be my last post until Monday Morning when you return.  I am taking a few days off to recharge my batteries so I will be able to put on my running shoes and glide through the rest of the year! Just some important reminders. All of the following are due or overdue:

• Teacher Surveys you received a month ago/Turn in envelope outside my office
• 4th and 5th Grade Student Surveys
• STAR 3 Unit Plans due on April 9th/Connie will pick them up/Turn In envelope outside my office
• Report Cards due to Administrators on the 11th. k-1/Frazier, 2-3/Dobson,4-5/Cannon by 3:15.

• Judy Uhrig needs your Awards Information ASAP so she can prepare for Awards Day on Friday. Please email them to her.

It is a beautiful sunny day at Diggs-Latham ES today. I hope you are enjoying a great break.  We have WSFC landscapers out front putting down mulch and it looks great!  We are even scheduled to have the grass cut today.  All of this will compliment Home Moravian's landscaping endeavors.

Interested in learning CPR?
Our school system is putting together cohorts of 8 to be trained in CPR.  If you are interested, I will take the first 7 who email me. I would like to be trained as well.  They will bring the training to us.  I don't know all of the details but will fill you in as soon as I know, hopefully by Tuesday's faculty meeting.

·      Move your cursor over the “Employees” tab

·       Click on “Teacher Notice of Intent”

·       Log in with your network log in

·       Click “Enter/Edit Teacher Notification of Intent”

·       Review the information page, then enter your SSN in the secure box at the bottom of the page to go to the Teacher Intent form and make your elections

·       You can edit or adjust your elections as often as you like between now and April 18^th

Happy Monday.  Just in case you die-hard blog fans are reading the blog, I thought I'd post.  I hope everyone is enjoying a great spring break.  The weather certainly has cooperated.  FYI, the Intent Notification Link is up.  Please make sure to complete this asap.  The Transfer Fair is the first week of May for those of you interested.  If you have any questions, please let me know.
